D20 Adventurer’s Folio

Last updated: 8 August 2026

The short version. D20 Adventurer’s Folio collects nothing about you. It has no accounts, no servers and no analytics, and it does not transmit your characters, your photos or anything else off your device.

What the app stores

Everything you create — characters, ability scores, inventories, notes and any portrait you choose — is written to the app’s own storage on your device. A small number of preferences (your chosen dice set, whether sound is on) are stored the same way.

This data is included in your normal iPhone or iPad backup, which is governed by Apple’s privacy policy, not this one. It is not sent to us, because there is no “us” to send it to: the app makes no network connections of its own. (Purchases are the one exception, and they belong to Apple — see below.)

Photographs

If you give a character a portrait, you pick it through Apple’s own photo picker. The app is never granted access to your photo library — Apple hands it only the single image you chose. That image is stored with the character on your device and goes nowhere else.

What the app does not do

Purchases

In-app purchases are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. Apple tells the app only whether a purchase is owned; it never gives the app your name, your email or your payment details, and the app never sees or stores them. Purchase handling is covered by Apple’s privacy policy.

Children

The app is suitable for all ages and collects no personal information from anyone, including children under 13.

Your rights

Because no personal data is collected or held, there is nothing for us to disclose, correct or delete on request. You can remove everything the app has stored at any time by deleting the app from your device.

Changes

If a future version ever collects anything, this policy will be updated before that version ships, and the change will be described here rather than buried.
